Volunteer Outreach Specialist
 
As a volunteer, you could play a vital role in helping Semper Utilis achieve its goal of providing outreach and support to our recycling partners. Volunteering is a fantastic opportunity to work with veterans, gain volunteer hours, and decide a career pin the recycling industry is the right path for you.
 
Our volunteer shifts available are:

Friday 8:30am-12:30pm
Saturday 12:30pm-4:30pm
Sunday 12:30pm-4:30pm
 
As a volunteer, you will commit to working at least 1 of the shifts listed above. You may also sign up for more shifts if available and you would like to gain more hours per week.
 
You will provide street outreach to homeless veterans throughout our community by making contact and providing Semper Utilis kits filled with hygiene essentials and more info on our job placement program. Additionally, our specialist will create, implement and promote community awareness and education of the Small Business Partnership Program. You'll build positive awareness of a variety of professional level community resources to help Veterans access needed job services. Our Outreach Specialist will build and maintain an extensive network of providers in and out of the military community, to be used for referrals.
 
Our goal is that you leave your position as a volunteer with an understanding of what makes Semper Utilis different from other recycling programs. Volunteers that take full advantage of their experience with us leave with the basic concept of recycling and a deeper understanding of the day and life of a homeless veteran.
