COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

Currently many Americans enlist a for profit company to remove recyclable materials form their properties. These companies then turn a profit by sorting and selling these items to others. We literally pay to have others profit form our waste. Why not recruit  Semeper Utilis and divert these resources to a veteran in need.

Tax deduction available for all donations. Below is a list of the items we can help you process:

Building or Remodeling:
Donate your leftover materials and help us direct this revenue toward our organization's work for veterans.

Large Gatherings:
Hosting an event such as a party or conference, utilize our Semper Utilis bins to collect your recyclable glass and plastic, and donate today!

Household Recyclables:
Glass
Metal Cans (Aluminum, Steel)
Plastics

Small Businesses Recycling:
Aging fleet vehicles
Non-ferrous, high-temperature alloys and precious metals turnings and excess materials

RECYCLING FACTS AND INFORMATION

GLASS & PLASTIC

Picture
The glass alone makes up 5% of garbage in the U.S. and a whopping 91% of plastic isn't recycled. It takes up to 1,000 years for some plastics to degrade in a landfill.

However, the long-lasting nature of glass means that glass can be recycled forever. It never wears out as a raw material and can be remanufactured into new glass containers over and over and over again.

Recycling plastic takes 88% less energy than making plastic from raw materials. Reduce your own single-use plastics, and take your recycling efforts to the next level!

NONFERROUS METALS

Picture
Metal is in limited supply, and while we can manufacture more glass and plastic from natural resources, we can't make more aluminum, copper, and steel.

Recovering metals over and over again is more than doable. Yet less than 33% of the metals available are actually recycled.

Currently, nonferrous scrap makes up only 10 percent of the total material recycled in the U.S.

In a world that is increasingly demanding sustainability, nonferrous metal recycling has become a very important practice.

POST INDUSTRIAL

Picture
Mining is invasive. To extract raw materials from the earth, mining companies employ heavy excavators, haul trucks, and men with shovels to dig into the ground.

This rabid digging not only destroys the soil, but it also releases toxic compounds, radioactive rocks, metallic dust, and asbestos-like minerals into the air and water.

Further, by purchasing products at the end of their life and processing them back into raw materials used in the manufacture of new products, scrap recycling reduces the need for virgin materials, such as iron ore, trees, and other natural resources.
